Hello and greetings from Sichuan. I'm now in a village surrounded by very beautiful views, and the name of the village is Zhanshan, which is located in the Santai County of China's southwest Sichuan Province. 

大家好，来自四川的问候。我现在在一个美丽景色环绕的村庄里，位于中国西南部的四川省三台县的斩山村。

It is my very first time to be here, in this place, but for many of my colleagues, they've been here four years in a row. And the reason that we keep coming back to Santai County is that we want to keep track of the changes here, from the living standards of the residents to the improvements of their livelihoods. 

这是我第一次来到这个地方，但是我的很多同事在过去四年，每年都来报道。我们希望通过回访三台县，来记录观察这里的变化，从居民的居住条件到整体生活的水平的改善。

During our three days special coverage on poverty eradication, my colleagues and I spoke with numerous villagers and farmers, local officials, experts, and even a young couple who made a fortune by selling agriculture products through live streaming. 

在本次为期三天的脱贫报道中，我和我的同事们采访了当地的很多人，包括村民、农民、官员、专家，还有一对通过在直播平台销售农产品而致富的年轻夫妇。

Well, it’s great to see all the villages in the country have met the goal of eradicating extreme poverty by the end of last year.

我们喜悦的看到了全县在去年底成功实现了脱贫摘帽。

Poverty eradication is a big issue, not only concerning the development of China but also worldwide, and that is why I want to take this place as an example, to share their stories and experiences, challenges and solutions with our international viewers from a wide range of perspectives about how China has been able to help over 850 million people out of poverty in the past over four decades.

消除贫困是一个重大问题，不仅关乎中国的发展，也对世界的发展有着深远的影响，因此，我们希望把三台县作为一个案例，分享他们的故事和经验，挑战和解决方案，向我们来自不同角度的国际观众,展示中国是如何在过去40年中帮助超过8.5亿人脱贫的。

It made me realize that poverty eradication isn't just about making sure people have enough to eat, have an annual income at minimum of 4000 yuan, or renovating homes and roads in mountainous areas. 

这些遇到的人和经历，让我深深感到，消除贫困不仅仅是吃饱穿暖、确保它们的年收入不低于4000元，或者在山区修缮房屋和道路。

It was also about giving children better access to education, allowing farmers to gain higher spiritual fulfillment. In order to ensure well-rounded and sustainable development.

也是为了让孩子们更好地接受教育，让农民在精神上获得更多的幸福感。让山村的发展更加全面、可持续。

We're now at the very final phase of meeting the goal. The last mile is by no means an easy task, but with a very strong determination, the joint efforts and also the effective measures just like what we saw here in the Santai County and numerous places across China, we are hopeful that we will get there.

如今，中国正处于打赢脱贫攻坚战的决胜时刻。这最后一公里至关重要，但凭借强烈的愿望、共同的努力和有效的措施，就像我们在三台县和中国许多地方看到的那样，我们相信，目标会如期实现。
